Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust cares for more than half a million patients each year, from across Kingston, Richmond, Elmbridge (Surrey), Merton, Wandsworth and Sutton, and is highly rated by staff and patients alike.
In 2018, Kingston Hospital became the first acute hospital trust in London to be rated ‘Outstanding’ for overall quality and leadership by the national Care Quality Commission regulator.
The Trust provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and has a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in ‘patient-focused’ care across services including emergency and day surgery, and is a part of the award-winning South West London Pathology partnership.
Kingston Hospital is known as a centre of excellence for elective care and is recognised nationally for its ITU outcomes for patients, as well as its cancer services which are run in partnership with the Royal Marsden Hospital, a world-leading provider of cancer care.
Kingston’s maternity service was also rated ‘best in London’ by women recently surveyed by the Care Quality Commission.
The hospital employs 3,500 staff, with another 300 staff employed by ISS for portering, catering, cleaning and security, or by contractors working on behalf of the Trust, and with the support of over 350 dedicated volunteers.

Our People Pledge
The People Pledge outlines the wide range of support you can expect as an employee of HRCH or Kingston Hospital, as well as our ask of you as part of our team here.
We pledge to provide an offer for our people that holistically supports our workforce and distinguishes us from other health and care employers. The pledge has been developed in collaboration with over 500 staff, who have shared their views through a series of engagement sessions. From these sessions, seven key themes emerged about what matters most to our people.
