In 2018, Kingston Hospital became the first acute hospital trust in London to be rated ‘Outstanding’ for overall quality and leadership by the national Care Quality Commission regulator.

The Trust provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and has a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in ‘patient-focused’ care across services including emergency and day surgery, and is a part of the award-winning South West London Pathology partnership.

Kingston Hospital is known as a centre of excellence for elective care and is recognised nationally for its ITU outcomes for patients, as well as its cancer services which are run in partnership with the Royal Marsden Hospital, a world-leading provider of cancer care.

Kingston’s maternity service was also rated ‘best in London’ by women recently surveyed by the Care Quality Commission.

The hospital employs 3,500 staff, with another 300 staff employed by ISS for portering, catering, cleaning and security, or by contractors working on behalf of the Trust, and with the support of over 350 dedicated volunteers.
